A breakaway chain, dubbed the 'anti-spam' fork of Bitcoin, has reportedly failed, attracting just 2.53% of the total mining support. This minimal backing resulted in blocks being mined hours apart, projecting a difficulty adjustment period of approximately 350 days, making the fork impractical and ultimately leading to its halt. In contrast, the primary Bitcoin network continued to operate effectively without disruption.
