Gate.io has secured a Malta payments license, enabling it to expand its fiat and stablecoin transaction services across the EU, adhering to PSD2 rules. Simultaneously, the cryptocurrency market witnessed a significant uplift for Bitcoin, with US Bitcoin ETFs recording $507 million in inflows, propelling BTC back above the $68,000 mark after a five-week period of outflows.

The license allows Gate to execute payment transactions in the EU, including direct debits and credit transfers under PSD2 rules.

Fresh inflows lift US Bitcoin ETFs toward a potential first weekly gain after five consecutive weeks of outflows totaling $3.8 billion.
