Local media reports indicate Ozer, who was handed an unprecedented 11,196-year jail sentence in 2023 for a range of financial crimes including fraud and money laundering, may have committed suicide according to a Turkish minister. The Thodex exchange had collapsed, leaving thousands of users with substantial losses.
